KAYAK DIVERS > KAYAK & ULTRALIGHT DIVING GEAR

This section on gear focuses more on it's use and adaptation to kayak and ultralight diving, assuming the reader is qualified and already has a good understanding of diving techniques and equipment.

Diving from a Kayak is pretty much like diving from a RIB or other dive boat. The main difference is you have to be organised and it's advisable to use lighter weight kit and not junk yourself up with a load of unnecessary add-ons. We use a few different set-ups depending on the dive. Bigger cylinders and more gear doesn't always mean a longer or deeper dive. Some would be surprised at what you can do diving on a pair of 3L side mounted cylinders. Going lightweight and streamlined reduces gas consumption greatly.
