Garmin GPS 60: This has proven to be the best of the standard hand-held receivers that we've used. The display is a good size and is very clear. All screens are customisable so it can be set up to display exactly the information required in the order you wish to see it. The keypad is on the front, not on the sides, making it easier to use inside an additional waterproof case. With regard to functions, it does all the standard stuff:- Location, waypoints, single-point go-to, multi-point routing, tracklog etc. Combined with PC based BlueChart software it will also provide real time and projected tide graphs and tables which is great for trip and dive planning. It has both USB and Serial ports for connection to PC. The Garmin GPS 60.
